It is with great sadness we announce the death of Tim Charlesworth earlier in August.  His book, The Architecture of Peckham, published by the well known and respected Chener Books in 1988 was one of the first modern history books about the architecture of the area, long before gentrification.  It engendered a fledgling interest in the incredibly architecture of Peckham.  (The Architecture of Peckham ; Author, Tim Charlesworth ; Edition, illustrated ; Publisher, Chener Books, 1988 ; ISBN, 0948585021, 9780948585029).  Peter Frost, Chairman of The Peckham Society commented, “This is very sad news for Peckham as well as Tim’s family and friends.  We have lost someone who was an expert on local architecture and history.”

An obituary will appear in a future edition of Peckham Society News.
