The Great North Wood

This is a remnant of the forested ridge which dominated the area between Croydon and Lewisham since time immemorial. Daniel has a wealth of knowledge to share on the wildlife and habitats rarely found in a large city.

Friends of Nunhead Cemetery Open Day

A chance to enjoy tours of the wildlife areas in this historic cemetery, visit a variety of stalls, listen to local choirs in the chapel, explore family history and have tea.

Peckham Rye Park to One Tree Hill walk (2 hours)
Led by Peter Frost
Meet at the Clockhouse PH, junc Barry Road/Peckham Rye, SE22

We are blessed with a profusion of wildlife areas. This walk experiences the park and then the views from Brenchley Gardens and the wildlife reserve and the history of One Tree Hill.

Central Peckham Walk (2 hours)

Meet at Peckham Rye Station forecourt

Embraces what was the ‘Golden Mile’ of the 1930’s with its department stores and art deco architecture. You are introduced to the unexpected which has made Peckham a favourite destination to the discerning visitor.

Traditional community fete with dog show, children's games, fancy dress parade, Punch and Judy show, tea tent, Pimms beer and cider tent, stalls.
