The Old Kent Road has been an important route since prehistoric times and was originally part of Roman Watling Street. Transport for London plans to build two new underground stations along the road as part of the Bakerloo line extension. This will be accompanied by massive investment – and upheaval. A panel of experts will outline the important aspects of preserving the heritage and using the resources for the common good.
